Position Overview
The Construction Business Specialist will focus on generating new business opportunities, building client relationships, and representing the company throughout the preconstruction and proposal process. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional who enjoys business development, client interaction, and creating customized construction solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and market research.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, developers, architects, and other industry partners.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand project needs and promote company services.
Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, estimates, and bid presentations in collaboration with the estimating team.
Develop and present persuasive sales materials and presentations to secure new contracts.
Negotiate project terms, pricing, and scope with clients.
Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client communications using CRM tools.
Attend industry events, association meetings, and networking functions to increase brand visibility.
Collaborate with leadership to set sales goals and develop strategies to meet revenue targets.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
5+ years of experience in construction business development, sales, or estimating.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Understanding of construction processes, project types, and cost drivers.
Proficiency with CRM and estimating software (Salesforce, Procore, or similar).
Self-motivated, competitive, and able to work independently while achieving sales goals.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $60,000–$70,000 (based on experience)
Commission structure based on new project awards and revenue generation
