Superintendent


The Opportunity

Our client, a leader in the concrete construction industry, is seeking an experienced Superintendent. We desire a candidate with 8-12 years of experience in multifamily concrete construction. 

📍 Kansas City, KS

💰 Compensation: 105-120k

Key Responsibilities:

  • 8+ years working with structural concrete (Tilt-up, post-tension, podium deck, foundational pouring, pre-cast, and other concrete forms) 

  • Multi-Family construction experience 

  • Proven track record of site leadership 

  • History of exceptional teamwork and collaboration 

  • Able to travel to jobsite(s) as assigned  

  • Contractor, subcontractor, and vendor coordination experience 

  • Scope review 

  • OSHA safety 

  • QC, and schedule accountability 

  • Material & equipment procurement 

  • Change orders 

  • RFI support 

  • Field daily reports, closeout 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time 

  • Working Knowledge of software: Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam & Adobe, Procore. 

Collaborate with the project team: 

  • Review pour sequence and schedule 

  • Provide production review from estimates and fine-tune project cost 

  • Process and analyze production data (man-hours and quantities) by project-specific work breakdown structure (WBS)  

  • Develop site plan, laydown areas, etc. based on your experience and guide project teams • Keep an open line of communication with customers regarding their satisfaction

Job cost review and Financial Overview: 

  • Review job costs monthly on projects in the form of reports. 

  • Communicate better labor management and material needs to maintain budgets and schedule 

Collaborates with Yard operations: 

  • Understand the various forming systems and their production rates 

  • Understand trucking costs and coordinate mobilization and demobilization  

  • Understand equipment rental costs and coordinate AC equipment utilization 

Physical Requirements of the Job: 

Ability to communicate orally in person and over devices with peers, vendors, contractors, clients, and construction workers is crucial. Regular use of mobile devices (talking or texting) and email for communication is essential. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary information, and prepare, inspect, or review documents.

Activities require the ability to both remain in a stationary position and move about an office and/or work site as well as to move between locations frequently. Ascent and descent of ladders and stairs on occasion. 

Occasional heavy lifting (30+ lb. / 13.6+ kg) can be expected, though exertion of up to 10 lbs. of force are more common. Need good manual dexterity for the use of common. Office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers).
